Discover the joy of repairing and creating at the Make & Mend Afternoon held at UniSQ Library Makerspace. This welcoming event invites you to bring your own projects, whether it's mending clothes, crafting cosplay, or experimenting with new ideas. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and socialize with fellow makers.
You'll have access to sewing machines, 3D printers, and other innovative equipment to help bring your projects to life. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, perfect for both beginners and experienced crafters.
Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult, making this a great family-friendly activity that encourages creativity and hands-on learning.
The sessions run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on selected Thursdays, providing a flexible drop-in format so you can come and go as your schedule allows. Please wear shoes for safety while using the Makerspace facilities.
Note that realistic prop weaponry is not permitted, but fantasy and sci-fi props are welcome, supporting a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
This event is open to both UniSQ students and the general public, making it a vibrant community hub for makers of all backgrounds.
The Makerspace is located at UniSQ Toowoomba, 487-535 West St, Darling Heights QLD 4350, specifically in room R104 on Level 1 of R Block within the library.
