Get ready for an exciting and interactive music workshop where your child will become part of a band! Using drum machines, synthesizers, and sequencers, children will create beats, melodies, and vocal effects while designing their own group song. This is a playful environment that encourages creativity and curiosity with no prior music experience needed.
The workshop introduces children to patterns, song design, scales, and basic music theory in a fun and engaging way. It’s perfect for young music enthusiasts eager to explore sound and rhythm.

This event is designed specifically for children in school years 3 to 6. It runs monthly on the second last Thursday of each month until November 26, 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00.
Attendance requires booking in advance, with bookings opening four weeks prior to each session. Children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer for safety.
The sessions are free of charge but limited to library members, who can join online if not already members.
The workshop is held at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra.
