Activity Details
The gardening group meets on the last Tuesday morning of each month from 10:00 to 12:00. The upcoming sessions run from June 30 to July 28, 2026. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, reusable cup for hot drinks, gloves, hand weeding tools like a trowel, and a kneeling pad if needed.
If you don't have gardening tools or gloves, don't worry—they will be provided during the sessions. The activities are suitable for adults aged 18 and over, but younger participants can join if accompanied by a guardian.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from horticultural specialists and enjoy a productive morning in a beautiful garden setting.
Location and Access
Meet at Maranoa Botanic Gardens, Parring Road, Balwyn VIC 3103. Enter via the Parring Road entry gate off Whitehorse Road. The meeting point is at the front administration office, approximately 100 meters down the path on the left side.
The gardens are easily accessible and provide a peaceful environment for gardening and socializing. Parking and public transport options are available nearby.
Please ensure to arrive promptly at 10:00 to make the most of the session.
Important Information
Participants must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by a guardian. Please bring your own water bottle and reusable cup to reduce waste and stay hydrated. Gloves and tools are optional but recommended for comfort and efficiency.
