Marino Repair Café is a welcoming community event that brings people together to repair household items and learn new skills. This initiative helps reduce landfill waste by giving broken goods a new lease on life through volunteer expertise.
At the Repair Café, volunteers repair a wide range of items including electrical appliances, computers, woodwork, bikes, toys, jewellery, and sewing repairs (excluding alterations). It's a hands-on, friendly environment where families can engage in sustainable practices and discover the joy of fixing rather than discarding.
The event runs on the third Sunday of every month from 13:00 to 15:30 at Marino Community Hall. It is suitable for all ages and encourages community participation. Whether you bring an item to fix or want to learn repair skills, there’s something for everyone.
Held at Marino Community Hall, this venue is easily accessible and provides a comfortable space for community members to gather. Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for families to attend.
Please bring items that need repair and be prepared to stay for the duration to assist or learn. Sewing repairs do not include alterations. The event is volunteer-run, so patience and community spirit are appreciated.
Attendance is free of charge, and no prior booking is required. Just come along on the day and join the community effort to reduce waste and learn valuable skills.
