What to Expect
Experience the breathtaking Marion Coastal Walkway, a 7.2 km trail that stretches from Marino in the north to Hallett Headland Reserve at Hallett Cove in the south. Whether you choose to walk the entire length or just a section, the trail provides access points to suit all fitness levels. Dogs are welcome on leashes in most areas, except within the Hallett Cove Conservation Park section.

The walkway includes several gully crossings with steps and multiple boardwalks, requiring a reasonable level of fitness. The recently reopened Grey Gully and Kunrabinna Gully segments feature state-of-the-art suspension bridges offering stunning coastal views.
This trail is ideal for families looking for a healthy outdoor activity that combines exercise, nature appreciation, and cultural exploration. The walkway is part of the larger Adelaide Coast Park initiative, which will eventually provide 71 km of recreational trail.
Public art along the walkway includes 33 large art signs and 63 smaller aluminium signs and cartoons, making it a visually engaging experience for children and adults alike.

The Coastal Walkway is located within the City of Marion’s Coast Park, extending from Marino Esplanade to the top of Hallett Cove Headland Reserve. Multiple entry points along the trail allow you to customize your walk according to your family’s preferences and fitness levels.
