If your child is fascinated by insects or curious about the tiny creatures living in our backyards, this workshop is a perfect holiday treat. Designed for children aged 5 to 12, the session offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of minibeasts through interactive learning and live demonstrations.
Join experienced instructors from Travelbugs Mobile Minibeasts for an engaging, hands-on experience featuring a variety of live and preserved invertebrates. Children will learn about the diverse animal life that often goes unnoticed in our everyday environment. The workshop encourages participation in a safe and supervised setting, making it ideal for young bug enthusiasts.
The workshop is led by passionate educators with expertise in science and environmental education, ensuring a fun and informative session. All creatures come from ethical and sustainable sources, including the Travelbugs lab in the Blue Mountains. The session runs for 1.5 hours, providing ample time for exploration and questions.
Held at the Clive James Library and Service Centre, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, this venue is accessible and welcoming. Parents and guardians must remain on-site during the program, with a supervision ratio of one adult per four children to ensure safety and support.
