You'll gain insight into the operations of a modern Material Recovery Facility and receive practical tips on improving your recycling habits at home. The tour is engaging for all ages and perfect for families interested in sustainability.
Enjoy a morning tea break and take advantage of bus transport provided from Beach Street South Car Park, making it easy and convenient to participate.
The tour includes a site induction with personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety throughout the visit. You'll walk through the facility, observing the sorting and preparation of recyclable materials.
A presentation and discussion will deepen your understanding of how the facility operates and the environmental benefits of recycling correctly. Please note there are 35 stairs and walking involved, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
