What to Expect
Experience an empowering and fun skatepark coaching session designed exclusively for girls aged 5 to 18. These free workshops focus on building confidence and skill development in a supportive environment. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to improve, coaches will tailor guidance to each participant’s level.
Participants will enjoy a motivating atmosphere where they can progress at their own pace, encouraged by experienced facilitators. The sessions promote safety, skill-building, and enjoyment of skateboarding and scootering.
Bring your own equipment, helmet, and closed-in shoes to join the fun. Limited spare scooters and skateboards may be available, but it’s best to come prepared.
Activity Details
The coaching is split into two sessions starting at 9:00 and 10:00 AM, running until 11:00 AM. Coaches will assess each participant’s skill level and provide personalized support to help them improve.
Participants must wear helmets and bring water and sunscreen to stay safe and comfortable. Minor equipment adjustments may be done by coaches before the sessions if time allows.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to register and complete a disclaimer form. Note that plastic three-wheeled scooters and plastic rollerskates are not suitable for this coaching.
Location and Access
The event takes place at McCallum Park Active Area, Victoria Park, a welcoming outdoor space perfect for skateboarding activities. The park is accessible and provides a safe environment for children and youth to learn and play.
Parents can easily drop off and pick up their children at the venue. The location is well-known locally and offers a great community atmosphere.
Important Information
Safety is a priority: helmets are mandatory, and participants must wear closed-in shoes. Bring water and sunscreen to protect against the sun.
Limited spare equipment may be available, but participants should bring their own gear to ensure full participation. Coaches will assist with minor adjustments if possible.
A disclaimer form must be signed on the day to participate. The coaching is not suitable for plastic three-wheeled scooters or plastic rollerskates.
