Freestyle Now presents an exciting opportunity for girls aged 5 to 18 to develop their skatepark skills in a fun and supportive environment. These free coaching sessions at McCallum Park Active Area are designed to boost confidence and encourage progression at every skill level.
What to Expect
Participants will receive personalised coaching tailored to their current skill level. Coaches will focus on confidence building and skill development while allowing each girl to ride at her own pace. The sessions are engaging, motivational, and designed to foster a love for skating and scootering.
Activity Details
- Date: Wednesday, 7 October 2026
- Time: Two sessions starting at 15:00 and 16:00, running until 17:00
- Location: McCallum Park Active Area, Victoria Park
- Equipment: Participants must bring their own helmet, closed-in shoes, and equipment (skateboard, scooter, or rollerskates). Coaches may assist with minor equipment adjustments if time permits.
- Safety: Helmets are mandatory, and sunscreen and water are recommended.

McCallum Park Active Area is located in Victoria Park, providing a safe and accessible outdoor space for young skaters. The park is well-known locally and easy to reach by car or public transport. Parents can comfortably watch and support their children during the sessions.

- Please arrive 15 minutes early to register.
- A disclaimer form must be signed on the day.
- Coaching workshops are not suitable for 3-wheeled plastic scooters or plastic rollerskates.
- Limited spare scooters and skateboards may be available.
- Participants with defective equipment may not be able to join the session.
