Men’s mental health is a vital topic that often goes unspoken. This engaging session at The Red Shed offers men a down-to-earth approach to understanding and maintaining their wellbeing. Using relatable metaphors, the workshop encourages men to recognize early warning signs and take proactive steps to care for their mental health.
This one-hour talk uses the analogy of a car’s maintenance to explain mental health. Participants will learn how to perform a personal 'pre-start check' to assess their wellbeing. The session also covers practical tools for daily mental health care and how to support friends who may be struggling.
The talk is designed to be accessible and supportive, creating a safe space for men to engage with mental health topics without stigma. It is presented by Sonder - Better Care, Better Health, a trusted community health organization.
