Dive into a world of sensory exploration with your baby in this engaging messy play program. Each session is crafted to stimulate your child's senses and encourage early language and motor skills development through hands-on, messy fun.
Led by experienced educators from Messy Makers, these activities foster creativity, imagination, and social skills in a supportive environment. Parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate, making it a wonderful bonding experience.
Expect a lively and interactive atmosphere where curiosity is sparked and developmental milestones are nurtured through playful discovery.
This 8-week program runs every Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, starting on 21 October and concluding on 9 December 2026. It is tailored for infants aged 0 to 12 months.
Sessions focus on enhancing fine and gross motor skills, cognitive and language development, and problem-solving abilities. Activities may include tactile play with safe, sometimes food-based materials, so be prepared for some delightful mess!
Parents must remain with their children throughout the sessions to support and engage in the activities together.
The program is held at the Community Hub - Yarra Community Centre, located at 10 Uhrig Road, Lidcombe, 2141. This venue is fully accessible and inclusive, situated on the lands of the Wangal people of the Dharug nation.
Access to the centre requires a pin code, which will be provided in your registration email. The space is welcoming and designed to accommodate families comfortably.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for busy parents to attend.
Please bring a change of clothes for both you and your baby, as the activities can get quite messy. Note that some materials may contain common allergens; if you have concerns, contact PHIVEtickets@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au before attending.
Refunds are not generally available due to the nature of the program, but exceptional circumstances may be considered.
Parents and guardians are required to stay with their children for the entire session to ensure safety and maximize the developmental benefits.
Sessions cost $15 each, or you can book the full 8-week term for $80, saving $40. Spots are limited, so early booking is recommended to secure your place.
