What to Expect
This Minecraft group offers a unique blend of creativity and social learning, perfect for children aged 4 to 12. Using Minecraft as a platform, kids will practice negotiation, emotional regulation, and social storytelling in a supportive environment. The sessions are small, with a maximum 1:4 facilitator to child ratio, ensuring personalized attention.
Facilitated by experienced professionals, your child will be grouped with peers of similar ages to foster friendships and collaborative play. Parents or carers are required to stay on site, providing a safe and comfortable setting for everyone.
Activity Details
The group meets on Fridays from 16:00 to 17:30, running on selected dates from February to April 2026. Each session is conducted online, with an option to attend in person at Wyndham Park Community Centre. The facilitators, Josh (Positive Behaviour Therapist and Lead Clinician) and Nikki (Allied Health Assistant), bring expertise in supporting children's social development.
Participants are asked to commit to a full term to maximize benefits. Group sizes are kept small to maintain quality interaction and support.
Location and Access
Sessions are primarily online, providing convenience and accessibility for families. The Wyndham Park Community Centre, located at 55 - 57 Kookaburra Ave, Werribee VIC 3030, serves as the physical venue for those who prefer in-person attendance.
The community centre is easily accessible by public transport and offers parking facilities. Parents must remain on site during sessions to support their children.
