Mini Movers is a lively and engaging sports program designed specifically for young children aged 3 to 6 years. It encourages kids to develop their confidence, coordination, and a genuine love for being active through playful activities. This program warmly welcomes all children, including those with disabilities, especially those attending Wyndham City Council run kindergartens.
The sessions are short and sweet, lasting just 30 minutes, making it perfect for little ones with shorter attention spans. Each week offers new games and activities that keep children excited and eager to participate.
Parents can expect a supportive environment where their children can socialize, learn new skills, and enjoy physical activity in a safe setting.
The program runs over six weeks, with sessions held once a week on Thursdays from 9:00am to 9:30am. The upcoming dates are 12th February, 19th February, 26th February, 5th March, and 12th March 2026.
Participation is free but booking is essential to secure a spot. The program is hosted at two locations: online and at Lollypop Creek Community Centre, 104 Shipwright Parade, Werribee 3030.
This initiative is part of the Active Kinders program, aiming to promote physical activity among young children in the Wyndham community.
The in-person sessions take place at Lollypop Creek Community Centre, a welcoming and accessible venue located at 104 Shipwright Parade, Werribee 3030. The centre is easy to reach and provides a safe environment for children to play and learn.
For those who prefer or require it, sessions are also available online, allowing families to participate from the comfort of their own homes.
Parking and public transport options are available near the community centre, making it convenient for parents to attend.
This program is inclusive, welcoming children with and without disabilities who attend Wyndham City Council run kindergartens. Parents should ensure their child is dressed comfortably and ready for active play.
Since the sessions are brief, it’s ideal for children who are just starting to engage in structured physical activities.
Booking is essential due to limited spaces, so early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
The Mini Movers program is completely free of charge, making it accessible for all families in the Wyndham community.
To participate, parents must book their child’s place in advance. For more information and to register, visit the Active Kinders website or contact the organiser directly.
Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is encouraged to secure a spot.
