Dive into a creative and hands-on mosaic workshop designed for beginners and those with some experience. Over two sessions, you will design and craft a beautiful stepping stone that adds personality and colour to your garden. The workshop provides a relaxed, supportive environment where you can experiment with a variety of colourful tiles and glass pieces.
You’ll learn essential mosaic techniques such as planning your design, arranging pieces, and securing them for durability. Whether you prefer bold, bright patterns or subtle, natural tones, this workshop encourages personal expression through your artwork.
By the end, you will have a finished 30 cm round stepping stone suitable for outdoor use, a perfect decorative and functional addition to your garden.
This workshop is split into two sessions held on consecutive Wednesdays, July 22 and July 29, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30. Closed-toe shoes are compulsory, and wearing practical 'old' clothes is recommended due to the hands-on nature of the activity.
All materials, including a wide selection of tiles and glass, are provided as part of the ticket price. The workshop is suitable for all skill levels and offers a wonderful opportunity to learn a new craft while socialising with others.
The workshop takes place at 45 Albert St, Gumeracha SA 5233, Australia, within the Torrens Valley Community Centre. The centre is accessible Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and closed on Fridays and public holidays.
Participants are encouraged to check fire danger ratings before attending, as extreme conditions may lead to cancellations. The venue is located in the scenic Adelaide Hills, making it a lovely spot to combine creativity with a day out.
Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety during the workshop. Practical clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy is also advised.
In the event of an Extreme 75+ or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the community centre will close, and classes will be cancelled without notice. Paid fees will be reimbursed or the course rescheduled.
