This motorcycle-specific first aid and emergency response course is designed to equip riders with essential skills to manage the critical first minutes after a crash. You will learn how to make the scene safe, care for injured riders, control serious bleeding, avoid spinal injury mistakes, communicate effectively with emergency services, and understand your legal protections under Good Samaritan laws.
The training is practical and hands-on, focusing on real-life scenarios that motorcyclists may face. It’s perfect for anyone who rides or is interested in motorcycle safety.
The session is delivered by Accident Scene Management (ASM) and funded by the Victorian State Government. It runs for a full day, starting with registration at 8:45am and concluding at 4:30pm. Participants should bring their motorcycle helmets and wear comfortable clothes suitable for practical floor work.
This course is essential for motorcyclists who want to be prepared to help themselves or others in an emergency and gain confidence in first aid techniques specific to motorcycle crashes.
The training takes place at the Dandenong Civic Centre, accessible via the Library in Harmony Square at 225 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong. The venue is centrally located and easy to reach by public transport or car.

Please bring your motorcycle helmet(s) even if you are not riding to the session. Multiple helmet types are welcome for demonstration purposes.
Wear comfortable clothing as you will be working on carpeted floors during practical exercises. The course fee is $25, and bookings are essential to secure your spot.
