MyTime tiếng Việt is a warm and welcoming community designed especially for Vietnamese-speaking parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay, or neurodivergence. This informal support group offers a relaxed space to connect, share experiences, and find understanding from others who truly get what you’re going through.
Each session is facilitated by Vy Phan, a Vietnamese Family Support Worker, and may include guest speakers or wellbeing activities chosen by the group. It’s a supportive break from appointments and therapy, giving you time to focus on yourself and build connections.
You’re encouraged to join any session that suits you, and you can specify preferences during registration to tailor the experience to your needs.
This program is designed for parents, family members, and primary carers of children aged 0 to 18 years with disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence, or developmental concerns. It runs as five fortnightly sessions during the school term, each lasting two hours from 10:00 to 12:00 AEST.
Childminding is available upon request, so you can participate with peace of mind. Sessions are conducted entirely in Vietnamese to ensure comfort and ease of communication.
The group is informal and flexible, allowing discussions to be shaped by members’ interests and needs, making it a truly supportive community space.
