This event marks 50 years of NAIDOC, inviting everyone to come together in unity and respect. Dress in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander flag colours or your favourite Deadly Choices shirt to show your support.
The march offers a meaningful way for families to engage with Indigenous culture and history while enjoying a vibrant community atmosphere. It’s a chance for parents and children alike to learn and reflect on the ongoing journey of First Nations peoples.
The march begins at Queen Elizabeth Park at 10:00 AM and proceeds through Griffith Street to the NSW border. The event concludes with a Corroboree at Chris Cunningham Park, featuring cultural performances and community connection.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to find a good spot and to wear comfortable walking shoes. The event is free and suitable for all ages, making it a perfect family outing during the school holidays.
