Celebrate culture, creativity, and connection during NAIDOC Week with a hands-on workshop the whole family will love. Join the Families Team and Kaya-Lee Carson for a relaxed and engaging session where you will learn how to make traditional damper from scratch while discovering its rich history. After baking, enjoy tasting your freshly made damper together.
Alongside the delicious experience, children and adults can participate in a simple, fun craft activity designed to inspire creativity and encourage shared learning. This workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, explore culture interactively, and create lasting memories.
Come along to learn, connect, and celebrate together - this is an experience you do not want to miss.
Each ticket admits one parent and one child aged 5 to 10 years to participate in the workshop. Parents are asked to arrange alternative care for siblings or non-participating children as tickets accommodate only the participating child.
To ensure the best experience, attendance is limited to the parent and child participating in the workshop. Additional family members, including extended family, are kindly asked not to attend.
Registrations open Monday, 22 June 2026 at 8:30am. Tickets must be purchased via the TryBooking event page. No TryBooking account is required to purchase a ticket.
If you are registered but unable to attend, please cancel your place promptly to allow another eager child the opportunity to participate.
