What to Expect
This workshop offers an essential opportunity for secondary school educators to engage in cross-school moderation as part of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process. It focuses on collaboratively reviewing and validating evidence to make consistent and defensible decisions about student adjustments.
Participants will work in small groups, sharing insights and applying their knowledge to real case studies, ensuring a supportive and interactive learning environment. This session is designed for those who have already completed within-school moderation.
Expect a focused three-hour session where full participation is required to maximize the benefits of peer collaboration and expert guidance.
Activity Details
The workshop runs for three hours, from 10:00 to 13:00, on Wednesday 6 May 2026. It is specifically tailored for class and subject teachers, school leaders, and school counsellors or psychologists involved in the NCCD process.
Participants must bring three copies of the same de-identified student case study to facilitate group discussions and moderation activities. Reference materials related to levels of adjustment and categories of disability will be provided to support evidence-informed decision-making.
Registration is individual and must be completed using a school email address. Attendance is mandatory for registered participants only.
