Food stalls offering delicious treats such as hamburgers, hot dogs, traditional Italian pizza, Dutch pancakes, fresh lemonade, and fairy floss will be available. Bring your own picnic and enjoy the beautiful riverside views. Please note that this is a tent-free zone along the foreshore, and BYO alcohol is permitted with sensible consumption encouraged.
Activity Details
The fireworks will be launched from barges located at the Harbour Bridge precinct and down the rivers, including a barge between Clarkes Point and Cockatoo Island. Access to all vantage points is free and unticketed, making it easy for families to join the festivities.
Traffic, parking, and vehicle restrictions will be enforced throughout the local government area to ensure safety. Police will be present throughout the evening to assist and maintain order. Visitors are asked to act safely and considerately.
Location and Access
The main viewing locations include Clarkes Point Reserve on Clarke Road, Morts Reserve, Kellys Bush Reserve, Huntleys Point Underpass, and Lookout Reserve on Woolwich Road. Clarkes Point Reserve offers fabulous views and food stalls, while Lookout Reserve is managed by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.
A Park and Ride service will operate from Boronia Park Oval 1 to Clarkes Point Reserve, with special event buses running between 4pm and 11:30pm. Note that vehicle access to Woolwich Peninsula is restricted to residents and registered vehicles only. Parking at Clarkes Point Car Park will be closed from 9am on 30 December until 9am on 1 January.
Important Information
Visitors should be mindful that this is a residential area with strict vehicle access and parking restrictions. Dogs must be kept on-leash due to the expected crowds. No BBQs are allowed during a total fire ban, and visitors must obey all fire and health restrictions.
For families attending with young children, it is recommended to write your phone number on your child in case they become lost. Labels and pens will be available at the Council Tent at Clarkes Point Reserve.
Please respect roped-off or fenced areas and follow all instructions from police and event staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for everyone.
Booking and Prices
This is a free public event with no tickets required for entry to any vantage points. Parking at Boronia Park Oval 1 is free but limited and operates at the owner's risk. The Park and Ride bus service requires payment via Opal card or credit card for each trip.
No pre-booking is necessary for buses or access to vantage points. Vehicle registrations for residents, carers, and businesses on Woolwich Peninsula must be submitted in advance and will be managed by Ryde Police Area Command.
