This inspiring workshop invites neurodivergent teens to express themselves through hands-on collage art. Led by artist and educator Emma “Ruby” Armstrong-Porter, participants will explore identity, interests, and emotions in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
You are encouraged to engage with the materials and space in a way that feels comfortable—there’s no right or wrong way to participate. The session is designed to foster creativity and connection among secondary school students aged 12 to 18.
Friends and family are welcome to attend, with a limit of one accompanying adult per teen.
The workshop is suitable for all experience levels; no prior art skills are needed. All materials are provided to ensure a seamless creative experience.
Emma “Ruby” Armstrong-Porter, who has lived experience of neurodivergence, will guide the session, sharing their expertise in collage and mixed media art.
This session is part of the NGV Teens program and focuses on exploring personal stories through art, encouraging participants to try new ways of storytelling.
The workshop takes place at the NGV Learn Studios, located on the Ground Level of NGV International. Entry is via the main Waterwall entrance.
