Now & Next is an award-winning, innovative online program designed specifically for parents, carers, and families of children with disabilities or developmental delays. This engaging program equips you with practical skills to make a lasting positive difference in your child's life and your family’s wellbeing.
What to Expect
Over eight weekly online sessions, each lasting two hours, you will learn to set meaningful goals and develop strategies to reach them. Facilitated by trained peer workers who are parents themselves, the program offers a supportive community and evidence-based tools like the Pictability™ and Goal to Action™ coaching tools. You will explore mindfulness, resilience, and partnership with professionals to enhance your family’s flourishing.
Activity Details
The program runs from Sunday 3 August to Sunday 21 September, with sessions held weekly on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00 AEST/NSW time. Attendance at all eight sessions is required to complete the course and receive a certificate of attendance. The sessions are delivered online via Zoom, with login details provided closer to the event date.
Location and Access
This event is fully online, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your home. A reliable internet connection and a device with camera capabilities are needed to engage fully. All materials required for the program will be mailed to you upon registration confirmation. The program welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and offers support to ensure accessibility for all.
Important Information
The program is designed for parents, family members, and primary carers of children aged 0-12 years with disabilities, developmental delays, or neurodivergence. To receive a certificate, participants must have their camera on for all sessions to confirm engagement. The program encourages active participation and offers a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment. Cancellation requires seven days’ notice as per NDIS guidelines.
Booking and Prices
The total cost is $1,232 per person or couple, with limited couple spots available. This fee can be claimed through NDIS Capacity Building funding or paid privately. Payment is not required at the time of registration. RSVP by Sunday 27 July to secure your place, noting that groups may be canceled if RSVPs are low.
