What to Expect
Experience the wonder of Australia's majestic whales during ORRCA's 27th annual Whale Census Day. This event invites whale watchers of all ages to participate in a vital citizen science project that tracks whale populations along the east coast.
You will witness humpback whales, Bryde’s whales, and minke whales as they migrate, contributing to one of the largest marine mammal monitoring efforts in the region. Whether you join at an official abundance site or from your local coastline, your observations will help protect these magnificent creatures.
This family-friendly event is perfect for parents looking to engage their children with nature and wildlife while supporting conservation.
