What to Expect

Each week presents a new theme drawn from the Cultural Heritage and Heritage Library collections, covering topics such as First Nations and South Sea Island histories, business, agriculture, celebrations, education, environment, family life, fashion, health, sport, tourism, transport, and war.
Whether you drop in for a few minutes or stay for the full hour, you’ll find plenty of seating on the tiered seating in the library foyer, making it a comfortable and welcoming experience for families.
Activity Details
The screenings are held weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, starting on 2026-04-22 and continuing through 2026-06-24. No bookings are required, but you may choose to book to receive reminder emails.
Please note that some videos may be silent with subtitles depending on the original format and ambient noise conditions in the library. The event is suitable for parents and school-aged children interested in local history and culture.
Videos are also accessible online via the Sunshine Coast Council heritage website and YouTube playlists for those unable to attend in person.

The event takes place at Council New Chambers, 1 Omrah Ave, Caloundra QLD 4551, within the Caloundra Library+ foyer area. The venue offers tiered seating for comfortable viewing.
