Experience an enchanting evening where music and poetry intertwine beautifully. Led by MCO Artistic Director and violinist Sophie Rowell, this concert brings together classical masterpieces and evocative poetry to create a deeply moving atmosphere. The highlight is Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, narrated by acclaimed actress Helen Morse, adding a unique storytelling dimension.
The program opens with the lively Italian Serenade by Hugo Wolf, followed by Libby Croad's Portraits for string orchestra, each paired with poetry by Eleanor Percy. Janáček's On an Overgrown Path offers a tender, introspective close to this lyrical journey.
