What to Expect
Embark on an exciting photography adventure designed especially for young creatives aged 8 to 14. This workshop combines hands-on camera skills with the unique backdrop of Cockatoo Island’s historic shipyards, offering a perfect blend of learning and exploration.
Participants will learn to use digital SLR cameras, experimenting with ISO, aperture, shutter speed, framing, and macro photography. The day includes a ferry trip to the island, time to capture stunning images, and an inspiring visit to the museum’s photography collection.
In the afternoon, children will prepare their best shots for a special exhibition at the Australian National Maritime Museum, giving them a chance to showcase their new skills and creativity.
