What to Expect
Discover the fascinating world of seeds through carefully selected picture books paired with hands-on STEM activities that bring science to life. This program invites families to enjoy engaging experiments and creative crafts, making learning both fun and memorable.
Children will have the opportunity to create their own bouquet of craft flowers to take home, blending creativity with scientific exploration. The sessions are inclusive and will be accompanied by an Auslan interpreter to support accessibility.
This event is perfect for parents looking to inspire curiosity and literacy in their children aged 12 years and under, offering a relaxed and welcoming environment for families to learn together.
Activity Details
The program runs on Saturday, 15 August 2026, with two sessions available: 10:30 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 13:30. All materials and equipment needed for the activities will be provided, so families only need to bring their enthusiasm.
Parents or guardians must remain in the library for the duration of the program if their children are aged 12 years or under. For participants under 16, parent or guardian contact details are required at booking.
Please arrive on time as late arrivals beyond 10 minutes may be moved to a standby queue. If unable to attend, cancellations should be made at least 3 hours prior to avoid future booking restrictions.

The event takes place at Hurstville Library, located at the corner of Dora Street and Queens Road, Hurstville. This central location is easily accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming community space.
