Are you interested in improving your English-language skills and connecting with new people? These sessions offer a friendly, welcoming environment for adult learners at all levels. Whether you want to build confidence speaking, improve your reading, expand your vocabulary, or just drop in for a chat, everyone is welcome.
Each session includes a variety of fun, informal activities such as group discussions, reading aloud, language games, and topic-based conversation. Snacks and refreshments will be provided, making it a comfortable and supportive place to learn.
The sessions run weekly on Wednesdays from 13:30 to 14:30 at Emerald Hill and Thursdays from 13:30 to 14:30 at St Kilda. These free sessions do not operate during school holidays, so plan accordingly.
You can expect to practise everyday English through conversation and group activities, read together to improve comprehension and pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary while building confidence. The group is filled with new friends and interesting people to talk to.
Sessions are held at two accessible locations: Emerald Hill Library and St Kilda Library. Both venues are wheelchair accessible, and if you have additional access needs, the organisers encourage you to contact them to help accommodate you.
Bookings are preferred to ensure your place in the sessions. These sessions are designed for adult learners of all English levels and provide a supportive atmosphere to learn and connect.
