What to Expect
Experience a unique hands-on workshop designed for children to explore Aboriginal culture through story, creativity, and connection. Participants will immerse themselves in the sharing of games and stories about Aboriginal signs, symbols, and art protocols. The workshop includes tasting delicious quandong jam or a refreshing quandong syrup drink, learning about the health benefits and traditional uses of this remarkable native fruit.
Children will then create their own unique bracelet or keyring using real quandong seeds, decorating and crafting a special keepsake to take home. This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect, create, and learn alongside the Aboriginal community while celebrating NAIDOC Week.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 5 and above, with younger children requiring adult accompaniment.
