This engaging presentation is tailored for drivers who are nearing or enjoying retirement and wish to maintain their independence and confidence behind the wheel. It offers practical advice on car safety, basic maintenance, and ways to reduce fuel and running costs. The session also covers important tips for transporting grandchildren safely.
Participants will gain valuable insights into planning holidays and interstate motoring, improving security at home and while travelling, and maintaining good health and mobility to support safe driving. This is a real-world focused event designed to help drivers enjoy the freedom of driving for longer.

The presentation is hosted in a community-friendly environment with facilities that accommodate diverse needs.
The event takes place at the Torrens Valley Community Centre, located within the Gumeracha Community Hub. Parking is available in three areas around the community hub, including disabled parking spaces at the rear and near the library entrance. There is ample space for buses or mini vans near the Gumeracha sporting oval.
The centre is fully accessible with wheelchair ramps, disabled toilets inside and outside, and a wide double door entrance. The venue is inclusive and welcoming to all, including LGBTQI+ individuals and families with young children.
In case of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the community centre will be closed and the event cancelled without notice. Any fees paid will be reimbursed or the course rescheduled.
Participants are encouraged to bring a torch or phone light if attending at night and dress appropriately for cooler weather or rain. Facilities include toilets, baby change tables, a kitchen with a microwave and kettle, and hot drinks are available.
