Celebrate Mardi Gras creativity by designing your own rainbow-inspired pin or brooch in a welcoming and playful workshop. This event is perfect for teens and adults aged 13 and above who want to explore simple craft techniques using cardboard, paint, and scissors. Whether you're a beginner or experienced crafter, you'll enjoy making a colourful wearable artwork.
The workshop is a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies, where your identity and pronouns will be respected. Bring a friend or family member to share in the fun and social atmosphere.
Under the guidance of local artist Jeff McCann, participants will use acrylic paint and cardboard to create unique pins or brooches inspired by the rainbow theme. The session lasts 1.5 hours and encourages creativity and self-expression through hands-on crafting.
This event is free but requires booking in advance through Eventbrite. It is open to library members aged 13 and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the workshop starts on time, as latecomers cannot be admitted.
