What to Expect
Immerse yourself in nature and make a positive impact on your local environment by joining the Randwick Environment Park Bushcare program. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with the outdoors and teach children the value of caring for native bushland.
You will work alongside Council's Bushcare Officers on important bush regeneration activities including weed removal, hand weeding among native plants, and revegetation efforts to restore the park’s natural beauty.
This program is perfect for parents looking to engage their school-aged children in meaningful environmental activities while enjoying fresh air and community spirit.
Activity Details
The Bushcare sessions run from 9:00 to 12:00 on the first Wednesday of each month, continuing until December 2, 2026. Volunteers will be involved in hands-on tasks that help preserve one of Randwick’s most significant bushland reserves.
No prior experience is necessary, and all tools and guidance will be provided by the Bushcare Officers. It’s a great way to learn about local flora and fauna while contributing to the community.
Children are welcome with parental supervision, making this a fantastic family-friendly activity that combines education and outdoor fun.
