This delightful 30-minute performance features the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances, arranged for a small ensemble by Tim Hansen. Alongside leading children’s entertainer Emily Who, the event is designed to engage children aged 0–5 in active and fun music listening.
Families can enjoy comfortable floor seating, allowing children to move freely and explore the rhythms and melodies in a relaxed, welcoming environment. It’s the perfect first concert experience to ignite your child’s imagination and foster a lifelong love of music.

The performance runs for approximately 30 minutes and includes excerpts from Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances, arranged specifically for young audiences. Emily Who will guide the children through the music, making it interactive and engaging. The event is suitable for babies and young children aged 0–5, and all attendees, including adults, require a ticket.
There are three sessions on Saturday, 2 May 2026, at 10:00, 11:30, and 13:00, providing flexibility for families to choose a convenient time. The event is unreserved seating (general admission), so arriving early is recommended to secure a comfortable spot.
This event takes place in The Studio at the Sydney Opera House, located in the north-western corner of the building and best accessed through the Western Foyers. The venue is pram accessible and offers lifts to all foyers, with pram parking available outside the theatres.
