What to Expect
Remembrance Day in Mitcham is a heartfelt occasion to remember and honor the sacrifices made by service members in conflicts and peacekeeping missions. Families and community members come together for solemn ceremonies, moments of silence, and community fellowship.
You can expect respectful services led by local RSL clubs and a special gathering at Centennial Park, where tributes are laid at the Cross of Remembrance. The atmosphere is reflective and inclusive, welcoming all ages.
This is a meaningful opportunity for parents to teach children about history, respect, and community spirit while participating in local traditions.
