Discover the exciting world of recycling in this engaging workshop designed for young people aged 12 to 18. You'll get hands-on experience transforming plastic bottle lids into unique, functional items like pens, keychains, and combs. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills while having fun experimenting with colours and ideas.
The workshop is led by Pittwater Eco Adventures, who bring years of experience in tackling plastic pollution. All materials and snacks are provided, so just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
During the session, you'll operate portable recycling machinery to shred, melt, and mould plastic waste. The workshop encourages creativity and environmental awareness, empowering you to make a difference by turning trash into treasure.
This event is perfect for young makers who love to tinker and create. Registration is required, and the workshop is proudly 50% subsidised by Ku-ring-gai Council to support youth in the community.
The workshop takes place at Gordon Youth Hub, located at 799 Pacific Highway, Gordon, NSW 2072. The venue is accessible and well-equipped for hands-on activities. Parking and public transport options are available nearby.
