Rhyme Time is a delightful session designed for children aged 1 to 5 years, where they can explore language, music, and movement through engaging rhymes and stories. This interactive experience helps develop your child's language skills, body awareness, motor skills, and imagination in a fun and nurturing environment.
Each 30-minute session is packed with songs, rhymes, and stories carefully chosen to support early literacy and numeracy development. Siblings are welcome, making it a perfect outing for families with multiple young children.
After enjoying the session, families can take advantage of the Pop-Up Library Van to browse, borrow, and return books, encouraging a love of reading and learning beyond the event.
The sessions run weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on the following dates: July 15, 22, 29 and August 5, 12, 2026. No bookings are required, making it easy to drop in and enjoy whenever it suits your schedule.
This free event is hosted by Wyndham City Libraries and is ideal for parents looking to support their child's early development in a social and educational setting.
Please ensure your child is within the age range of 1 to 5 years to participate fully in the activities designed for this group.
Rhyme Time takes place at the Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre, located at 19 Communal Road, Wyndham Vale, 3024. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, providing a welcoming space for young children and their carers.
The Pop-Up Library Van is also onsite after the session, offering convenient access to a range of books for all ages.

This event is free of charge and open to all families with children aged 1 to 5 years. Siblings outside this age range are welcome to attend but the activities are tailored for younger children.
No prior booking is necessary, so you can simply arrive and join the fun.
Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and ensure your child is ready to participate fully from the start of the session.
Rhyme Time is completely free to attend with no bookings required. Simply come along on any of the scheduled Wednesdays to enjoy the session.
After the session, you can sign up for a free library membership to borrow books from the Pop-Up Library Van and continue the learning journey at home.
