A fantastic opportunity awaits young sports enthusiasts eager to step into the world of umpiring with the SANFL Juniors Umpiring program. This foundation course is designed to introduce the fundamental skills required to become a Field, Boundary, or Goal Umpire across various leagues. It is perfect for beginners aged 12 and above, regardless of gender or prior experience.
This engaging, in-person course runs for two hours and includes a recommended online learning component beforehand. Participants will learn about umpiring registration requirements, weekly expectations, and the development pathway within the sport. The course is conducted by the experienced SANFL Umpiring Department, ensuring expert guidance throughout.
The course takes place every Monday from 17:45 to 18:45, starting on 2026-06-08 and continuing through multiple weekly sessions until 2026-08-10. Each session offers a supportive environment for young people to build confidence and skills in umpiring. This is a free program, but bookings are required to secure a spot.
