Activity Details

Saturday Storytime is designed to be a casual drop-in session, so no bookings are necessary. Simply arrive a little early to find a comfortable spot and get settled in before the fun begins.

The sessions are held every Saturday morning, except for public holidays, providing a regular opportunity to connect with other families and enjoy a shared love of stories. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes, making it the perfect length for young children's attention spans.

We encourage you to stay and play after the storytime session. Our library offers a welcoming space for families to explore books, play with toys, and connect with other members of the community.

Location and Access

Saturday Storytime takes place at the Malabar Community Library, conveniently located in Matraville. The library is easily accessible by public transport and offers ample parking for those driving.

The library is a vibrant community hub, providing a welcoming and inclusive space for families. We have dedicated children's areas with age-appropriate books and toys, creating a stimulating environment for young learners.

Important Information

Please leave prams at home as space is limited inside the library. Children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times during the storytime session.

We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to allow time to settle in and find a comfortable spot. Due to the nature of the event, latecomers may not be admitted once the session has begun.
