Discover the wonders of the moon while engaging in a creative art class designed especially for children. This school holiday event offers a relaxed and supportive environment where kids can explore different materials, techniques, and themes. With the guidance of an experienced artist facilitator, participants will have the chance to express their creativity and build new skills.
The sessions are tailored to specific age groups, ensuring activities are age-appropriate and enjoyable. Children will also have the opportunity to connect with other young makers, making it a social and inspiring experience.
Whether your child is a budding artist or just loves learning about space, this workshop promises fun and discovery.
The event takes place on Thursday, 16 April 2026, at Hurstville Museum & Gallery. There are two sessions available:
- Session 1 for ages 5-7 from 10:30 to 11:45
- Session 2 for ages 8-12 from 14:00 to 15:15
Each session costs $12.50 per child. Bookings are essential due to limited class sizes and can be made by phone or online. Parents or guardians must remain on-site for children aged 10 and under, with a maximum supervision ratio of one adult per four children.
The program is fully supervised by qualified staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
The workshop is held at Hurstville Museum & Gallery, located at 14 MacMahon Street, Hurstville. The venue is committed to accessibility and inclusive services. If additional assistance is required, parents are encouraged to contact the museum ahead of time.

Parents and guardians must remain at the museum for the duration of the program if their child is aged 10 years or under. Only children meeting the specified age requirements may attend, and siblings outside the age range are not permitted.
No refunds are available for cancellations or missed bookings, and program swapping is not allowed. Participation is at the participant’s and guardian’s own risk, with the museum not liable for injury unless caused by gross negligence.
Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional use; please notify staff if you do not wish your child to be recorded.
