Step into a world of creativity and invention with the Recycled Robots Workshop at Gosford Regional Library. This engaging workshop invites children to transform everyday recycled items into their very own robot friends. From bottle tops to cardboard rolls, the possibilities for crafting a unique robot are endless.
Participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind creation, fostering imagination and environmental awareness by repurposing materials. The workshop is suitable for children and encourages bringing additional recycled treasures from home to personalize their robots.
This event is perfect for parents looking to inspire their children’s creativity during the school holidays while promoting sustainability and hands-on learning.
The workshop runs on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, from 10:30 to 12:00. It is designed for children aged 6 years and older, with those under 6 requiring adult supervision (adults do not need a ticket).
Materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring extra recycled items such as bottle tops, container lids, small boxes, egg cartons, plastic bottles, or even Christmas baubles to enhance their creations.
This workshop is held in collaboration with Little Wing Puppets, who will also be performing "Trinket the Robot" at the nearby Laycock Street Community Theatre on 16 and 17 April.
The event takes place at Gosford Regional Library, located at 123a Donnison Street, Gosford NSW 2250. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, making it easy for parents and children to attend comfortably.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, ensuring convenient access for families coming from across the Central Coast region.
The library setting offers a welcoming environment that encourages learning and creativity, perfect for a hands-on workshop like this.
Children aged 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult, but accompanying adults do not require a ticket. All materials for the workshop are supplied, though bringing additional recycled items is encouraged.
The workshop is part of a broader program including a puppet performance, offering a rich cultural experience for families.
Tickets are priced at $15 per child, supporting the continuation of creative community events.
Tickets can be booked in advance to secure a spot, as places may be limited. The cost is $15 per child, with no charge for accompanying adults.
Booking details and ticket purchase options are available through the Central Coast Council event page or by contacting the Gosford Regional Library.
