Screen Scenes - Years 7-9

Step into the spotlight and bring your favorite television and movie scenes to life in this engaging workshop designed specifically for students in Years 7 to 9. This is a fantastic opportunity for young aspiring actors to gain hands-on experience in screen acting, guided by a professional artist.

What to Expect

Participants will work closely with an experienced instructor to hone their acting skills for the screen. The workshop covers essential on-set technical elements such as camera angles, eyelines, and marks, enabling students to create a one-shot masterpiece. It’s a fun, interactive environment where creativity and confidence flourish.

Activity Details

This workshop runs over three days, from Wednesday to Friday during the school holidays. Each day starts at 9:30am and concludes at 3:30pm, providing a full day of immersive learning and practice. Aftercare is available from Wednesday to Thursday until 5:00pm for an additional fee, making it convenient for busy parents.

Location and Access

The workshop takes place at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), located at Pier 2/3, 13A Hickson Road, Dawes Point, NSW, 2000, on Eora Country. The venue is accessible and well-equipped to support a professional learning environment for young actors.

Important Information

A one-off booking fee applies to all purchases. Early bird pricing is available until Tuesday 10th June, encouraging early registration. There is no performance component for this workshop, focusing instead on skill development and technical understanding.
