Discover the joys of nature with your young child in this engaging and educational program designed for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. Seedlings Nature School offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the natural world through play, exploration, and storytelling.

What to Expect

Children will climb, dig, explore, build, and engage their senses in a safe and nurturing environment. The program combines fun nature-based activities, games, and stories that foster curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Parents and carers actively participate alongside their children, making it a shared experience.

Activity Details

The sessions run every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00 during May and June. Each week features a unique theme such as Garden Explorers, Life Underwater, Autumn, Seeds are Magic, Lifecycles, Whose Poo?, Mindfulness, and NAIDOC. The program operates in all weather conditions except for thunderstorms, high winds, or extreme heat above 35°C, so be sure to bring gumboots, rain jackets, and hats.

Location and Access

Meet at Farm Cove Eatery within the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, a beautiful and accessible outdoor setting perfect for nature play. The garden is centrally located and easy to reach by public transport or car, with facilities to support families and young children.

Important Information

Children must be accompanied by an adult carer who participates in the activities and is responsible for their child's safety. Babies not participating in the program may attend free of charge with a ticket-holding sibling. If a session is cancelled due to weather, ticket holders will be notified by 8:30am on the day and receive a full refund. Booking and Prices

You can purchase a term pass for $130 per child, which covers all 8 sessions and offers the best value. Casual passes are available at $18.50 per child per session.
