What to Expect
Turn your child's reflection into a unique 3D masterpiece during this engaging school holiday workshop. Led by artist Farha Ibrahim, children will explore creative techniques using recycled cardboard to craft sculptures of their own faces. Activity Details
The workshop runs for 1.5 hours, starting at 10:00 and finishing at 11:30 on Friday, 17 April 2026. It is a ticketed event costing $10 per child, with bookings essential to secure a spot.
Children will be guided through the process of transforming recycled cardboard into detailed self-portrait sculptures, learning about structure and artistic techniques along the way. The session is interactive and encourages imagination and hands-on participation.
All materials are provided, and the workshop is suitable for children with varying levels of artistic experience, from beginners to more confident young artists.
Location and Access
The workshop will be held in Activity Room 2 at the Holdfast Bay Community Centre, located at 51 King George Avenue, Hove SA. This room is situated at the southern end of the Community Centre, accessible via Carpark 2.
The venue is family-friendly and easily accessible by car or public transport, with parking available nearby. Parents are welcome to stay and observe or drop off their children for the session.
The community centre provides a safe and welcoming environment, ideal for creative activities and workshops.
Important Information
Bookings are essential due to limited spaces, so early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment. The workshop is specifically designed for children aged 7 to 11 years.
Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing suitable for crafting activities, as some materials may be messy. All tools and supplies will be provided by the workshop.
