What to Expect
This engaging workshop covers the three pillars of personal safety: detect, defuse, and defend. You'll learn basic strikes and where to aim, decision-making under pressure, effective negotiation techniques, and how to report a crime to the police. The session is inclusive of those using walking sticks, frames, or wheelchairs, with tailored guidance on utilising these devices for self-defence.
Activity Details
The workshop runs for two hours, providing hands-on training and practical advice. It is suitable for seniors of all abilities and includes accessibility support such as a hearing loop to assist those with hearing aids. This is a paid event with a fee of $50, payable on the day via EFTPOS.

Held at the Hannaford Community Centre, 608 Darling Street, Rozelle NSW 2039, the venue is accessible and welcoming. The centre supports people with all abilities to connect and participate fully in community life.
Important Information
