Sensory Storytime (2-5 years, 2025)

What to Expect

Sensory Storytime is an inclusive early literacy and social play program aimed at autistic children and children with sensory processing differences. The program includes books, songs, movement and therapeutic sensory play within a small group setting.

Activity Details

- The program is aimed at children aged 2-5 years old, however, children of all ages and all abilities are welcome, and siblings are encouraged to join.

- Each session will run for one hour, from 10:30am to 11:30am.

- The program will be held on the fourth Monday of every month from February to November 2025.

- There will be no Sensory Storytime in December.

- Bookings are essential and can be made online approximately one month in advance for each session.

- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.

Location and Access

The program will be held at the Margaret Martin Library, which is located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick.

Important Information

- Please kindly inform our library staff of any specific requirements or accommodations needed for your child to participate in Sensory Storytime.

- Bookings are essential. Only children (and their siblings) attending the activity need to be booked in.

- We are unable to accommodate children without a valid ticket.

- All children must have parental supervision.

- If you are unable to attend, please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the event.

- Your ticket can be cancelled by the organiser at any time without further notice.

- Your attendance at events supported by Randwick City Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
