What to Expect
Dive into the world of sewing with the Sew it Up! program, designed especially for young people aged 10 to 14. This fun and hands-on series encourages creativity and imagination while teaching valuable sewing skills. Participants will learn how to transform old fabrics into exciting new projects, promoting sustainability through upcycling.
No prior experience is needed, just a curious mind and a willingness to create. The program is a wonderful opportunity for kids to develop new skills, meet peers with similar interests, and enjoy a supportive environment.
Snacks will be provided to keep energy levels high during these creative sessions.
Activity Details
The program runs every Tuesday from 28 April to 2 June 2026, with sessions starting at 16:00 and finishing at 17:30. Each session lasts 1.5 hours, providing ample time to learn and complete projects.
This 6-week series is part of the 'Stitched Up' program and is delivered in partnership with the School of Sewing and Upcycling. Registration is essential as spots are limited, ensuring a quality experience for all participants.
Location and Access
All sessions take place at the Craigieburn Youth Centre, located at 59 Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn 3064. The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a safe space for young creatives.
Parents can easily drop off and pick up their children at the centre. The location is well-served by local transport and has parking facilities nearby.
