Step back in time to when TV and computers didn’t exist and discover the magic of shadow puppetry. In this engaging workshop, children will craft their own articulated shadow puppet, allowing them to move parts of their creation and bring it to life. After making their puppets, participants will have the exciting chance to perform a shadow puppet play using a traditional shadow screen.
This hands-on experience is perfect for curious kids who love storytelling and creativity. All materials are provided, and children get to take their unique puppets home as a keepsake.
The workshop is led by artist Jane Gillings, who will guide the children through the process of making and animating their shadow puppets. It is designed specifically for children aged 9 to 13, ensuring age-appropriate instruction and fun.
