Sing Along in Portuguese - História Cantada

Join this engaging monthly program designed especially for young children and their families to explore the joy of Brazilian Portuguese through songs, rhymes, and storytelling. What to Expect

Each session features lively sing-alongs, rhythmic rhymes, and captivating story readings that stimulate early language development and cultural appreciation. Children aged 0-5 years and their parents or carers will enjoy interactive activities that encourage participation and bonding. The sessions are welcoming to families of all cultural backgrounds.

Activity Details

The program runs every month on the third Tuesday, from May through December 2025, starting at 10:30 and finishing at 11:00. Each session requires prior booking through Eventbrite, and attendance is limited to ensure a comfortable and safe environment. Library membership is required but free to join.

Location and Access

The sessions take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, with a community atmosphere that encourages learning and social interaction. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for check-in and to settle in before the session begins.

Important Information

Bookings are essential and must be made for each session you wish to attend. If a session is fully booked, it will not appear as available. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer, and prams are discouraged due to limited space. Covid-19 safety measures are in place, and attendees agree to comply with the health and safety terms. Late arrivals cannot be admitted to avoid disruption.
