Step into a world where the printed page takes center stage, inviting you to slow down and engage deeply with art and text. This exhibition showcases artist books and multi-disciplinary works that explore the possibilities of the book format, blending text and image in evocative ways.
Experience unique approaches to sequence, structure, and design that shape the pace and rhythm of your reading journey. The artworks encourage imaginative exploration, offering new discoveries with each encounter.
Many pieces are crafted from the artists’ personal collections, incorporating fragments from culture magazines, art history books, and archives. These elements are reimagined through collage and assemblage, creating poetic and unexpected combinations.
This exhibition runs from 6 May 2026 to 25 July 2026, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays from 12:00 to 16:00. Admission is free, making it an accessible cultural outing for families and art lovers alike.
Featured artists include Zoë Croggon, Gracia and Louise, Nadia Hernández, Deborah Kelly, among others. The event is presented in partnership with the Melbourne Writers Festival, adding a literary dimension to the visual experience.
