Whether you bring your own project or join a group effort, you'll find a supportive space to build skills and confidence. The session is relaxed with a drop-in format, allowing you to come and go within the three-hour timeframe.
Basic crafting knowledge is helpful, and mentors may be available to guide or troubleshoot. Sharing equipment and supplies fosters a friendly and cooperative atmosphere.
- Bring your own textile project or join a communal craft activity.
- Sewing machines, an overlocker, iron, and ironing board are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Some sewing consumables like buttons and needles are provided, but bringing your own is recommended.
- Kitchen facilities with tea and coffee are available to keep you refreshed.
Please note that for safety, BYO electrical sewing equipment must be tested and tagged by a licensed electrician. The City offers free Test and Tag sessions twice a year for regular members.
